Over 26,000 test subjects were monitored every day, as they consumed varying amounts of omeprazole within a period of two years. It was discovered that the rest subjects that had consumed omeprazole were at risk of having vitamin B12 deficiency by as much as 65% when compare to individuals that do not make use of the medication.
